Jason Cullinane (215) of Reebok Boston won the men's GBTC Invitational Mile in 4:09.55. Scott Nicholas (tucked behind) of Nike Farm Team finished second in 4:10.11, and Ricardo Santos (743) from Iona College finished third in 4:10.40. Kathy Fleming (10) of New Balance Track Club won the women's GBTC Invitational Mile in 4:41.73. This is her second win in this event, having won this invitational race once before in 1999.
