GBTC Cross-Country Festival

2018 GBTC XC Festival

The GBTC XC Festival has again been selected for the first race in the USATF-New England Cross Country Grand Prix. Hosted by Greater Boston Track Club, the races are contested in Wellesley, MA at DCR Elm Bank. The event will features both Open Men’s & Women’s* 5k, Masters Men 5k, and a Youth 2k. *Women’s Open/Masters combined.

9:00 AM- Youth 2K
9:20 AM- Open and Masters Women’s 5K
10:00 AM- Masters Mens’ 5K
10:30 AM- Open Men’s 5K

Individual entry is $20 for adults and $15 for children.

Please note – Preferred online entry closes Thursday, September 6th, 12:00pm EST.

The DCR Elm Bank Reservation is a newly acquired park along the Charles River in Wellesley. See directions to the main entrance and a map. (The balloon pointing to the park on the map mentions Dover because part of the park is in Dover, but the main entrance to the park is at 900 Washington Street in Wellesley, so please use that address in your GPS for driving directions

YOUTH COURSE:  Approximate 1.5 miles, 2x Counter Clockwise Loop (note change from 2017) – see below

OPEN / MASTERS COURSE: 5k, one large counterclockwise loop, one small clockwise loop

Prior to 2012, the race was held at the Bradley Palmer State Park in Topsfield, Massachusetts, and was called the Bradley Palmer Cross-Country Club Challenge and the Topsfield Cross-Country Challenge in its early years. The race was an 8K three-loop course for the men and 5K for the women up Moon Hill and over several jumps and some dirt roads, over a spectator-friendly course perfect for bringing family and children.
