This web site is a labor of love on the part of many club members.

Our web page went up in October 1994. We think it was one of the first running club pages on the web. We got our own www.gbtc.org domain name in February 1998. The server was provided as a public service through 2004 by Digital Equipment Corporation, Compaq Computer Corporation, and Hewlett Packard, with technical support from Bob DeRoy, Alex Wolman, Adam Bryant, Kevin Carey, Mike Wonham, Michael Donovan, and Lou Baccari.  Mark Tuttle set up the original web site in 1994, and has been the web master ever since.

The current look and feel of the web site was designed with Melinda Casey, Jennifer Rapaport, and Mike Urquiola in June 1998.  The goal was something simple and clean that would load quickly over dialups, which were still common at the time.  Today, instead of dialups, wireless handhelds are the limiting factor.

The club store was originally designed with Erin Cullinane and Hunt Lacascia in September 1998, and implemented almost entirely by Hunt, and then reimplemented in 2005 by Mark Tuttle.

Material for the web site comes from members too numerous to mention:

  1. Josh Seeherman, Tom Derderian, and Terry O'Neill have maintained track performance lists and club records.
  2. Jon Berit has maintained track Grand Prix lists.
  3. Russ Miller has maintained road Grand Prix lists.
  4. Pictures from many people, most notably from Frank Monkiewicz and Stan Hu.
  5. Kit Wells scanned the newsletter issues prior to July 1995 from the hardcopy originals.

If you have made a contribution that has been omitted, feel free to send a note to the web master.
