Men Win Codfish

September 26, Franklin Park, Boston:

GBTC men won the 41st running of the Codfish Bowl founded by club original coach, Bill Squires. GBTC's Ryan Place, grad of Allegheny College, won the race followed by Dan Smith in third, Kevin Somers in fifth, Kibrom Temelso in 8th and Matt Haringa in 11th to beat the BAA tem and 16 other teams. Course conditions were perfect as was the sunshine. 202 men finished.

The women's team placed second to Stoneybrook. Gretchen Chick led the GBTC women with Kyle MacQueen in 13th, Anna Novick in 17th, Jane Ovanin in 19th and New England 3km Champion, Hannah Hastings in 35th. 207 women finished and a total of 23 teams. The BAA placed 6th.
