GBTC at Brown

GBTC sprinters, middle distance, hurdlers, jumpers, and throwers were all out in force Sunday at Brown to compete in sunny, 80 degree weather. Check out the women's results here and the men's results here.

It was a meet of season best times. On the women's side, some of the many highlights included: Josette winning the 200 and 3rd in the 100, Tiana winning the 100 hurdles and placing in both the jav and HJ, Toni-Marie winning the triple jump, Stacey throwing for 3rd in the discus, Alissa putting on the new GBTC singlet for the first time, Sarah Lawson starting to heat up for World Masters later this summer, and the hurdlers Sydney, Jess, Christa, and Dee all competing, with Jess running a monster 66.38 400 hurdles.

On the men's side, Hafiz led the way with wins in the 100 (10.94) and 200 (21.36), Rich Harrison was 2nd in the shot, and Andrew ran season bests in the 200/400. For those looking ahead to Club Nationals, also notable was Bryant's Alex Engel going 48.09 and 47. in the 4x4. Alex will join the GBTC 4x4 team this summer as they attempt to take down the club record of 3:12.81. Keep an eye on the blog as that relay develops ...
