Long run schedule

Members of the club get together each weekend at various locations around Boston to run as a group. These group runs together with the weekly track practices are the club's primary running activities.

The primary group running event is the Sunday long run. (There are also river runs along the Charles River on Tuesday nights, runs through the woods at Walden Pond in Concord on Sunday mornings, and runs through the Blue Hills Reservation in Milton many weekends.) Various members of the club take turns hosting the long runs. Club members meet at the house of the long run's host at 8:45am on Sunday morning and go out for a designated run (short to long, 5 to 10 to 20 miles) at 9:00 am, and then come back for bagels and hot drinks. Everyone usually leaves by 11:30. The whole event is very informal and very social. As a courtesy to the host, please telephone the host to let him or her know that you are planning to attend so the host can plan the course and the post-run social.

Note: There are currently no long runs scheduled. Expect the schedule to start up again in the weeks leading up to the Boston Marathon.
