Feldman Wins 2018 Bradley Award

The Greater Boston Track Club is pleased to announce that Kyle MacQueen
Feldman is the 2018 recipient of the annual Margaret Bradley award. Kyle
joined GBTC back in 2009, and immediately became an integral member of
the women’s distance squad, often scoring for the Club at the Grand Prix road
races. After joining the Club, Kyle excelled on both the roads and on the
track, running PRs in every event from the 1500m up to the Marathon. At one
point in 2012, Kyle held three club records at the same time: 1500m (4:24.66),
Mile (4:49.74), and 3000m (9:32.30). Two records have since been broken,
but she still holds the 1500m record to this date.

Kyle and her husband, GBTC team member, Will Feldman moved out of state
from 2013 to 2017, but immediately re-joined the Club, once they were back in
Boston. “There’s no running scene greater than Boston’s,” said Feldman. “I
really missed the Club and my teammates when we moved away. I am
thrilled to be back again and representing GBTC.”

Prior to joining GBTC, Kyle had run at the University of Connecticut where she
met current club member and 2011 Margaret Bradley award winner, Allison
McCabe. During her junior year, Kyle transferred to Simmons College in
Boston, which did not have a running program at the time. When Allison
learned that Kyle was living in Boston, she encouraged her to join the
team. Kyle joined the Club in the spring of 2009 after qualifying for the 2009
Boston Marathon at the 2008 Philadelphia Marathon. Her time at the
Philadelphia Marathon was 3:21:35. After joining the Club, and training more
consistently, Kyle improved her marathon time to a speedy 2:49:14. Kyle now
has dreams of qualifying for the Olympic Marathon Trials, a dream that was
also shared by Margaret Bradley.

Margaret Bradley was a member of GBTC who died while on a trail run
through the Grand Canyon on July 10, 2004, at the age of 24. GBTC
established the Margaret Bradley Award in honor of Margaret. The intent of
the award is to select one GBTC female runner annually to compete in a
domestic event of her choosing for which GBTC will cover some or all of the
expenses. The selected recipient must be a club member in good standing
who shares Margaret’s enthusiasm and dedication toward both personal and
team goals.
