The 41st New Bedford Half Marathon (03/18/18) served as the USATF New England Half Marathon Championship and first race of the 2018 USATF-NE Road Grand Prix. The New Bedford Half is notorious for blustery weather and strong headwinds, and while the temperatures hovered in the twenties, athletes reveled in the sunshine and single digit gusts.
The GBTC men were led by veteran Manuel Gonzalez (1:08:59) and breakout performer Rob Norcross (1:10:41). Rounding out the scoring five were Eric Mendoza, Shaun Dever and Mike Creedon.
On the women’s side, Shelby Cuddeback proved her speed on the open roads (1:20:25). She was followed by scoring members Kyle Feldmann and Andrea Imhof.
