Club Holds Annual Meeting

GBTC held its annual meeting tonight in Boston electing a new board of directors and granting several awards. Club president John Raguin conducted the business meeting and the election that saw members Dan Hall, Matt Haringa, Caleb Evanter, Brian MacNamara and Brennan Bonner returned to the board to be joined by Ryan Irwin, Brenda Greene, Alex Engel, and Aly Millett. The board will elect officers at its first meeting.

Aly Millett won the Margaret Bradley Award that pays some travel expenses to a major race in the US of her choice.

The coaches awards went to Alyse Rocco for racing on the track, XC, and roads. She recently won the Westfield Cross-country invitational and Ryan Irwin who competes also in the same three areas, hosts many long runs and rallies the team.

Hope Ratham who won the club national steeplechase and Chris Blondin who cracked 2 minutes in the 800 for the first time since 1998 received awards from Coach Callum. Blondin recently turned forty.

President Raguin happily announced the new sponsorship agreement with Saucony that will commence on Oct 1.
