Lynn, MA—Audrey Zaferos ran a new personal record today in the 15 km Great Stew Chase on a snowy day in Lynn Massachusetts  and later happily wrote in a text,

“We were a sea of 10 red singlets in the snow. Gretchen led us to victory with Anna taking second for the women and Deepti and Brenda in 3rd and 4th. The whole team worked off each other throughout the race; you were never too far behind another GBTC runner!”
Gretchen Speed ran true to her name winning the women’s division.
“It was awesome having so many ladies out there. The hill at mile 4.5 was painful… afterwards we ate stew and enjoyed the feeling that comes with conquering a winter race,”  said Zaferos.

Ken Ross, GBTC’s only male placed 5th in the 50+ division.
