Cape Cod Marathon and Relay in the money

GBTC men placed third in the USATF-NE Marathon Championship in Falmouth on Cape Cod today. Sam Jurek, Ryan Aschbrenner, and Chas Mitchell led a large GBTC team. Jurek ran 2:39:36 for 9th open man and Aschrenner ran 2:41:15 for 10th. Allison Lynch running her first marathon placed 9th open woman and ran 3:21:36. All received prize money. The women’s Margaret Bradley Fish team won. That team was composed of Katie Famous, Michelle Blouin, Katie Fobert, Lynn Johnson, and Kate Klim. The Margaret Bradley Fishermen placed second; they were Tom Derderian, Kit Wells, Matt Haringa, Brennan Bonner, and John Blouin.

Ted Breen ran his first marathon and all the Grand Prix races , so he earned an Ironrunner jacket and was the only GBTC runner to do so this year.
