The rain stopped. The air hung coolness on the flat course up and down the Merrimack River in Lowell, MA and over two bridges to finish at the Lowell Beer Works.  The racers all hammered the damp pavement and GBTC’s Allison McCabe and Jen Dagan hammered hardest taking second and third in the women’s race with 17:16 and 17:19 racing always within striking distance of the lead. The GBTC team finished second a mere 22 seconds behind winning Whirlaway.

The men’s team led by Tadesse Girma in 10th place finished 6th in a packed field with teams 2-6 in the same scoring minute. Caleb Evanter ran his personal best of 15:43.  Full results here.
