Jay Carisella Track Northeastern at Reggie

As the snow falls the indoor track season begins!

At the Jay Carisella Track and Field Invitational, hosted by Northeastern University at the Reggie Lewis track, GBTC athletes performed well taking several second places. For full results, go here.

Allison McCabe took second in the women’s 3000 meters with a 10:02.3 followed by Jen Lee in 10:39.67 for 8th. Ameila Bishop took second in the 5000 meters in a personal best 18:12.51, followed by Kyle MacQueen in 18:40.07 and Kate Klim in 18:40.68 in third and fourth, respectively.

Alyssa Brigham ran the mile in 5:25.39. The cobbled together team of Amelia Bishop, Laura Hayden, Annie Morgan, and Dee Clark placed 15th in the 4×400 relay with a 4:22.10.

For the men, Christian Tirella took 6th in the 55 meter dash in 6.66 and 14th in the 200 in 23.18. Master Dan Kelly ran 27.79 for the 200. Michael Servizio ran 1:02.34 for the 400 while masters Adam Harder and Bill Newsham ran mile in 4:54.97 and 4:55.33. Kevin Somers ran 9:03.30 for 3000 meters for 14th place followed by Dustin Barnes in 9:59.13 and Max White in 10:19.74. Dan Smith forged a unique personal best for 4800 meters with his 14:46.21.

Topping the GBTC men’s performance Richard Harris put the shot 16.93m or 55-06.50 for second place over all.
